York, Pa. – For the second time this season Marymount University senior Anna Macedonia was named the Capital Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week, as announced by league office on Tuesday. Macedonia led the Saints to a second-place finish at the two-day Randolph-Macon Invitational and won all seven events she was entered in.
Dominating all competition, Macedonia won all three individual events and all four relay events she swam in. Individually, she posted a 24.69 in the 50 freestyle, 52.62 in the 100 freestyle and 58.06 in the 100 backstroke.
Teaming with Meghan Morch, Casey Thomas and Katie Moran, Macedonia opened the meet with a victory in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:41.56. She then went on to partner with Thomas, Bridget Wunderly and Emily Wagner to win the 400 medley relay at 4:13.63.
Sweeping the relay events she was in, Macedonia also teamed with Wagner, Wunderly and Moran to win the 200 medley relay at 1:55.49 and the 400 freestyle relay with Moran, Morch and Thomas at 3:43.32.
Marymount returns to action after the New Year with a double-dual meet against Salisbury and Mary Washington on January 14.
