ARLINGTON, Va. – More than 200 graduates of Marymount Universityʼs Class of 2014 were
welcomed into the schoolʼs alumni association last week at a semi-formal reception that raised $1,000
in scholarship money for incoming freshmen.
The Fourth Annual A GOLD Affair, held at the Clarendon Ballroom on May 15, included
Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD), staff and recent grads. This fall, three incoming students will
benefit from Pay It Forward Scholarships, which were started by the Class of 2011.
“A GOLD Affair has become a staple in commencement week festivities,” said Krista Morasch,
associate director of regional advancement at Marymount. “It is a great chance for everyone to
celebrate together as part of the Marymount Alumni family.”
