York, Pa. – Marymount University’s women’s volleyball senior middle hitter Jenn Forbes was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Forbes led the Saints to an undefeated 5-0 week including a sweep at the Catholic Invitational.
On the week, Forbes averaged 3.44 kills per set while hitting at a .394 clip. She also added 20 total blocks, including 11 solo rejections, to average 1.11 blocks a frame.
Forbes opened the week with 10 kills and four blocks in a 3-1 victory over Washington (Md.) in the Saints (6-3) home opener. She added nine kills with no errors and three blocks against Randolph and 16 kills with five blocks against Misericordia on the opening day of the CUA tournament.
Against the host Cardinals, Forbes logged another 17 kills to go with three blocks and closed out the week with 10 kills and five blocks against Methodist.
Marymount returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to take on Shenandoah.
