Men’s Swimming Remains in Fifth at CAC Championships
St. Mary’s City, Md. – Marymount University’s men’s swimming team remained in fifth place at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday. The Saints have scored 189 points through 12 events.
Freshman Michael Yelmgren highlighted the day for MU, breaking his own school record in the 100 Backstroke. Yelmgren set the mark in the morning preliminaries with a time of 54.52 before placing third in the finals heat at 54.54.
Senior Brian Tinsman also had a solid day, finishing third in the 200 Freestyle.
Marymount returns to action on Sunday with the conclusion of the CAC Championships. Preliminary heats will begin at 10 a.m. and the finals will be at 6 p.m.
