In addition to high-tech classrooms and state-of-the-art labs, Marymount’s new academic building, Caruthers Hall, provides students with a great place to meet and eat: Lola’s Café, a cozy retreat with an inviting stone fireplace, comfortable seating, gourmet coffees, and a selection of delicious foods.
When it opened this spring, the café was one of the first sites in the nation to introduce Zest, a new dining concept offered by Marymount’s food-service provider, Sodexo. The Zest concept features menus based on locally sourced, organic foods, and the operation uses biodegradable materials and waste-minimization techniques. Sodexo is promoting Lola’s Café as a showcase for some of the most exciting and appetizing ideas in modern college dining, and it’s clearly a big hit with members of the campus community!
The café is named in honor of Marymount Trustee Lola Reinsch. Ms. Reinsch and her husband, Al Pierce, are longtime friends and generous supporters of the University.
