Greensboro, N.C. – Marymount University’s women’s soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision on the road at Greensboro on Saturday afternoon. The Saints fall to 2-4-0 overall on the season.
After surrendering an early goal in the seventh minute, the Saints responded at the 41:37 mark. Junior Katie Hamelin evened the score courtesy of an entry pass into the box from sophomore Shannon Bisselink.
Coming out of halftime even at 1-1, the Pride would score the game-winner in the 60th minute on a header to beat MU’s keeper.
Victoria Wyand collected eight saves for the Saints in the loss.
Marymount returns to action as it hosts former Capital Athletic Conference foe Gallaudet on Wednesday.
