Cross Country Back in Action at Frostburg State Invitational
Frostburg, Md. – Marymount University’s cross country teams competed at the Frostburg State Invitational on Saturday in a tune up for the Capital Athletic Conference Championships hosted by the Bobcats in October. The Saints women’s team continued to show steady improvement and finished in sixth place while the men’s squad placed seventh.
On the women’s side, junior Jessica Daley placed 33rd with a team-best time of 27:27.85 in the 6k event. Freshman Peyton Bodecker continues to stay hot on her trail, finishing 52nd with a time of 28:18.28.
Megan McMinn finished 64th at 28:55.40 while newcomer Charlotte Knopf was 74th at 29:54.68. Alondra Hall wrapped up the Saints women’s finishers in 86th place at 40:39.06.
On the men’s side, Dalton Royal was the top finisher for MU at 31:49.90 in the 8k race to place 53rd. Kevin Farmer was next at 33:07.00 while Grayson Zia came in at 36:54.50.
Rounding out the Saints, Andrew Nevins finished in 45:13.00, Theodore Berry in 45:31.90 and Emanuel Wansi in 49:31.60.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday, October 6 as it travels to UNC-Greensboro.
