Women's Basketball's Amanda Billy Named CAC Player of the Week
York, Pa. – Marymount University senior guard Amanda Billy was named the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Billy led the Saints to a 2-1 record over the last two weeks and earned All-Tournament team honors at the Fairfield Inn Holiday Tournament.
Averaging 25.7 points per game, Billy scored 21 in a win over TCNJ, 14 in a loss to Manhattanville and 42 in a victory over Staten Island. She nailed 19 three-pointers over the span, including 11 against CSI, and shot at a 43.2 percent clip from downtown.
Billy chipped in 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals a game while shooting 44.1% from the floor.
Marymount (5-5) returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts CAC league-leader St. Mary’s (Md.) to the Verizon Sports Arena at 6 p.m.
