Men’s Basketball Falls in CAC Action
Salisbury, Md. – Marymount University’s men’s basketball team fell 70-52 to Salisbury in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday evening. The Saints drop to 7-16 overall and 2-8 in league play.
Jesse Konadu led the Saints with 14 points while Reed Scott chipped in 12. Scott nearly posted a double-double with nine rebounds.
Marymount outrebounded the Sea Gulls (15-7, 6-3 CAC) on the night 34-30 including 14-9 on the offensive glass. Five different Saints pulled down at least four rebounds, including Scott’s nine. Konadu added six with Antonio Rouse, Colin Burkhart and JC Hoellich chipped in four.
Travon Vann led Salisbury with a game-high 17 points.
Marymount returns to the friendly confines of the Verizon Sports Arena on Saturday as it hosts St. Mary’s (Md.) in the regular season home finale.
