Donate a Book
  • Books for America
    Children’s books, recent adult nonfiction, and fiction paperbacks in good condition are being collected by Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society.
    Deadline: December 10

Donate Clothing or Socks
  • Operation: Sock It To Me
    Socks and toiletries are being collected to benefit Grate Patrol, an outreach program for the homeless in DC.
    Deadline: December 12
    Collection boxes: throughout campus

  • Reston Coat Drive
    New or gently used coats, hats, and scarves are being collected to benefit Reston Interfaith’s Coat Closet. Adult and children’s sizes are needed.
    Deadline: December 14
    Collection location: Marymount’s Reston Center, Suite 110, 1861 Wiehle Avenue

  • Sock and Underwear Collection to support F.R.O.G.
    Socks and underwear for children ages 2-18 are being collected by MU’s Graphic Design Club to support F.R.O.G. (Families Reaching Out Group).
    Deadline: December 7
    Donation locations: Green collections boxes throughout campus. Look for them in residence halls, the School of Arts and Sciences office, Lee Center, Ireton Hall, Campus Ministry, and Ballston Center.

  • SNA Sock Drive
    New white socks for the homeless outreach programs at A-SPAN and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church are being collected by the Student Nurses Association.

Donate a Gift, Toy, or Stocking Stuffers
  • Angel Giving Tree
    Giving trees are located throughout campus to benefit local organizations serving low-income families. Simply take a tag and return the wished-for gift under the tree.
    Sponsored by Campus Ministry, Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), and the Co-Curricular Council (CCC) Program Board
    Deadline: December 10
    Tree locations: Lodge, Chapel, Dining Hall, Lee Center, and Ballston Center

  • Center for Teaching and Learning Giving Tree
    Donate a gift to benefit Doorways for Women and Families, a home for families affected by domestic violence. Take a tag from the giving tree and return the gift to Rowley G10.

  • Toy Drive
    New, unwrapped toys to benefit children of all ages are being collected by the Physical Therapy Department. Deadline: December 13

  • Stockings for Soldiers
    Donate toiletries, stationery, snacks, CDs, DVDs, games, and cards to fill stockings for soldiers aided by the Wounded Warrior Closet and soldiers deployed to Afghanistan.

  • RSHM Stocking Stuffers
    Consider donating a stocking stuffer for the RSHM Sisters in Tarrytown, NY. Stocking items must be small and practical non-food items, like notebooks, pens, lip balm, lotions, soaps, etc. Please provide 65 of each item donated. Items must be individually wrapped.
