Marymount Men’s Lacrosse Edged by DeSales

Center Valley, Pa. – Marymount University’s men’s lacrosse team dropped a tough 7-6 non-conference game on the road at DeSales on Saturday afternoon. The Saints fall to 3-5 on the season.

Connor Kellogg led the Saints with a game-high three goals while David Huson, Danny Carson and Nico Burns each scored as well. Carson, Huson and Kellogg all recorded assists also, along with Lance Bernecker and Ronnie Sanna.

Marymount found itself in an early 3-0 hole to start the game. The Saints would pull within one goal on four different occasions throughout the game but couldn’t overcome the slow start.

Five Saints collected at least three ground balls, led by Ross Fernandez and Austin Miller with four each. Chris Pritchard, Huson and Eric Martin were all credited with three.

Pritchard and Mark Ellis led the Saints with a pair of caused turnovers.

In goal, Fernandez hauled in seven saves for the Blue and White.

Jarrod Wiedow and Ben Krocheski led the Bulldogs (3-3) with two goals each.

Marymount returns to the friendly confines of Long Bridge Park on Wednesday as it hosts York (Pa.) in CAC action.
