Men’s Soccer Falls to Hood
Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting Hood in non-conference action on Tuesday night. The Saints fall to 4-7 overall on the season.
Onar Yousefi and Akram Bensalem both scored for the Saints in the second half. Yousefi notched his third goal of the season off of a free kick in the 51st minute while Bensalem added his in the 75th minute, racing up the side of the pitch through traffic before finding the back of the net.
In goal, Kurt Michaels hauled in six saves after coming on in the 30th minute and closing out the contest.
Joey Fontanez led the Blazers with two goals.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday as it travels to face Capital Athletic Conference rival Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va.
