ARLINGTON, VA - Honorees have been announced for the 2010 HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington, and the list is available online at www.hrleadership.org/nominations.html
The finalists and winners selected from these honorees will be announced at the ninth annual HR Leadership Awards dinner and ceremony on Tuesday, June 15, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, with the reception starting at 6 p.m. Ron Packard, chief executive officer and founder of K¹² Inc., will give the keynote address on Engagement Drives Performance, which is also the theme for the 2010 HR Leadership Awards. He currently serves on the Department of Defense Educational Advisory Committee and was previously a vice president of Knowledge Universe and CEO of Knowledge Schools. He has also worked for McKinsey & Company, as well as for Goldman Sachs in mergers and acquisitions.
Awards will be given in the following six categories: Leadership; Mentoring; Strategic Alignment; Innovation; The Sister Eymard Gallagher Award for Corporate Social Responsibility; and The Dr. J.P. London Award for Promoting Ethical Behavior.
In addition, as part of the program's mission to ensure continuity of the HR profession, recognition will be given to Emerging Leaders, and two HR scholarships will be awarded.
Established in 2001 by Marymount University and local business leaders, the HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington were created to promote and enhance human resource excellence and to ensure the advancement and continuity of the profession.
