Men’s Basketball Falls to #16 St. Mary’s
St. Mary’s City, Md. – Marymount University’s men’s basketball team fell 82-52 to 16th-ranked St. Mary’s (Md.) in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday. The Saints fall to 4-17 overall and 2-10 in league play.
Andrew Somuah led the Saints with 11 points and seven rebounds off the bench while Reed Scott added 10 points and seven boards.
Trading leads to open the game, SMC (18-4, 12-1 CAC) took the lead for good at the 17:16 mark. The Seahawks would quickly push their advantage to double-figures and would lead by as many as 38 in the game.
Christian MacAuley led the Seahawks with 16 points while Alex Franz added 14 and James Davenport had 10.
Marymount returns to the hardwood on Wednesday at Wesley.
