Cross Country Opens Season at Salisbury Fall Classic
Salisbury, Md. – Marymount University’s cross country teams opened the 2012 season at the Salisbury Fall Classic on Saturday morning. The Saints women’s team placed ninth out of 11 teams overall and the men’s squad posted a 10th place finish out of 10 teams.
On the women’s side, Jessica Daley was the top finisher for MU with a time of 26:02 in the 6K race. Hot on her trails was Payton Bodecker with a time of 26:41 while Megan McMinn posted a 27:03.
Wrapping up the Saints scoring, Katie Maloney finished in 28:38, Rachael Raske in 39:44 and Alondra Hall in 39:55.
On the men’s side, Tam Ngyuen was the top finisher for MU at 31:04 in the 8K race while Dalton Royal was next with a time of 31:33. Kevin Farmer finished in 32:45, Grayson Zia at 36:58, Andrew Nevins at 43:37, Theodore Berry at 47:45, and Emmanuel Wansi at 49:10.
Marymount returns to action on September 22 at the Frostburg State Invitational.
