Women’s Volleyball Falls at Washington College
Chestertown, Md. – Marymount University’s women’s volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-17, 25-16, 20-25, 25-21) decision on the road at Washington (Md.) on Wednesday night. The Saints fall to 3-4 on the season.
Morgan McAlpin and Erin Allison paced the Saints with 10 kills each while Allison added 11 digs for a double-double. Emileigh Rettig chipped in seven kills and Brianne Fitzpatrick led MU with 20 assists to go with 12 digs for a double-double as well.
Defensively, four players recorded at double-digit digs with Rettig and Cassidie Watson leading the way with 15 each.
Kristin Lee led all players with 16 kills for the Shorewomen (5-2).
Marymount returns to action over the weekend as it travels to take part in the Neumann Invitational in Aston, Pa. The Saints battle Eastern and host Neumann on Friday before taking on Rutgers-Camden and Widener on Saturday.
