Cross Country Back in Action at Gettysburg Invitational
Gettysburg, Pa. – Marymount University’s cross country teams returned to competition with their participation in at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday. The Saints women placed 22nd out of 27 teams while men’s squad was 24th out of 26 opponents in the mixed division event.
Payton Bodecker led the Saints with a time of 24:48.5 to finish 55th overall in the 6K race. Charlotte Knopf placed 153rd, Katie Maloney was 160th, Jessica Butler 188th, Clara Churchill 233rd and Hannah Gorsich 271st.
On the men’s side, Carlos Elizondo was the top performer with a 28:30.1 to finish 110th overall in the 8k event. Kevin Farmer placed 205th, Matthew Ward 218th, Lavelle Perry 245th and Joseph Kenny 258th.
Marymount returns to action next Saturday as its takes part in the Hood Open in Frederick, Md.
