Three Cross Country Runners Post Top-20 Finishes at Hood Invitational
Frederick, Md. – Three Marymount University cross country runners posted top-20 finishes at the Hood Invitational on Saturday. One the women’s side, Jessica Daley and Payton Bodecker placed ninth and 13th, respectively, while Dalton Royal finished 18th overall on the men’s side.
The Saints men’s squad finished seventh of 10 teams while the women placed seventh of eight teams.
Daley and Bodecker continue to push each other to top times with Daley running a 27:35.8 and Bodecker a 28:11.0 in the 6K event. Katie Maloney and Megan McMinn also ran nearly at pace with times of 30:25.9 and 30:53.4 to finish 31st and 37th, respectively.
Alondra Hall ran a 40:03.3 and Rachael Raske a 40:29.3 to round out the Saints scoring.
On the men’s side, Royal’s 30:10.7 was good for 18th overall. Tam Nguyen and Kevin Farmer place 30th and 36th, respectively, with times of 31:08.8 and 32:55.1. Andrew Nevins ran a 38:49.6, Theodore Berry a 40:31.9 and Emmanuel Wansi a 44:00.4.
Marymount returns to action next Saturday at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships in Frostburg, Md.
