York, Pa. – Marymount University’s women’s swimming team lost a pair of contests at a tri-meet on Saturday. The Saints fell 94-29 to Washington & Jefferson and was narrowly edged by York (Pa.) 62-60 in Capital Athletic Conference action.
Anna Macedonia continued her impressive junior season, winning three events and finishing second in another. She won the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.67, the 200 backstroke at 2:11.03 and the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.76. Macedonia opened the day with a second place finish in the 200 Medley Relay, teaming with Emily Wagner, Jackie Finn and Meghan Morch for a time of 1:57.65.
Also posting a second place finish, Katie Moran swam a 26.33 in the 50 freestyle.
The Saints claimed three third place finishes as well. Katie Scott posted an 11.34.64 in the 1000 freestyle while Wagner swam a 1:13.45 and 2:42.08 in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke, respectively.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday, November 13, with its home opener against CAC foe Hood at 2 p.m.
