Women’s Soccer Falls at York (Pa.)

Saturday, September 22, 2012
York, Pa. – Marymount University’s women’s soccer team fell 2-0 on the road at York (Pa.) in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Saints drop to 4-3 overall and 0-2 in league play.

The Saints allowed a pair of goals to Elizabeth Bunn, one in the 26th minute and another in the 49th minute.

Marymount managed six shots on goal, including a pair from Alex Thomas, but couldn’t get anything past the Spartans stout defense.

York (4-1-3, 1-0-1 CAC) has only allowed one goal on the season and has posted seven shutouts.

Victoria Wyand and Gaby Prellezo split duties between the pipes and combined for 12 saves. Wyand hauled in seven in the first half while Prellezo added five in the second frame.

Marymount returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to face former CAC foe Hood in Frederick, Md.
