Women’s Basketball’s Katelyn Fischer Named CAC Player of the Week
York, Pa. – Marymount University senior captain Katelyn Fischer was named the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Fischer led the Saints to an undefeated week with three victories.
Fischer averaged 21.3 points, 6.0 assists and 4.6 steals per game. She shot 56.8 percent from the floor including a 42.9% clip from three-point range and 86.7% from the free throw line.
Opening the week against Richard Stockton, Fischer scored 23 points to go with six assists and four steals. She added another 18 points, seven assists and five steals as the Saints closed out non-conference play against future CAC foe Southern Virginia.
Wrapping up the week with a CAC victory against Frostburg State, Fischer posted 23 points, five assists and five steals.
