Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Rival #14 Mary Washington

Fredericksburg, Va. – Marymount University’s women’s lacrosse team dropped its final Capital Athletic Conference game of the season 20-6 to 14th-ranked rival Mary Washington on Saturday. The Saints fall to 4-9 overall and 3-5 in league play.

Stephanie Flood led the Saints with three goals for a hat-trick. Jacki Belker added a pair of goals and Megan McGuirk chipped in the final score for the Blue and White.

Jessica Kirshner led MU with a pair of ground balls and caused turnovers each. Belker added three draw controls for the Saints with Molly Maher adding two.

Kiki Niebuhr hauled in 14 saves between the pipes in the loss.

Catherine Kennedy led the Eagles with six goals.

Marymount returns to action next Saturday in the First Round of the CAC Tournament.
