Men’s Soccer Falls in Home Finale
Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team dropped its regular season home finale 2-1 to visiting Gettysburg in non-conference action on Wednesday night. The Saints fall to 3-10-2 overall.
Marymount found itself behind early courtesy of an own goal at the 17:00 mark in the first half. The Bullets (6-7-1) only managed three shots on the Saints in the opening frame.
Battling back late in the second half, Onar Yousefi knotted things up at 1-1 in the 79th minute, firing a shot from outside the box to beat the GC keeper.
Gettysburg would add the game-winner just four minutes later at the 83:17 mark. Parker Delmolino’s shot from the middle of the box was the decider as the Saints got just one last shot on goal the rest of the way.
Marymount returns to action as it closes out the regular season on the road at Capital Athletic Conference foe Frostburg State.
