Indianapolis, Ind. – Marymount University senior Anna Macedonia placed 29th overall in the 50 Freestyle at the NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming Championships on Wednesday. Macedonia posted a time of 24.04 in the event.
Earning a ‘B’ qualifying time in the 50 freestyle at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships, Macedonia will still compete in two more events over the weekend. She will swim in the 100 Backstroke on Thursday, an event she is seeded ninth in courtesy of an ‘A’ qualifying time at the CAC’s and a course she earned Honorable Mention All-America honors last year as a junior. Macedonia will close out her collegiate career on Friday in the 100 Freestyle, yet another ‘B’ cut she earned at the CAC Championships.

Macedonia earned CAC Swimmer of the Year honors for the second-straight season in 2012. She earned seven different All-CAC accolades at the CAC Championships while setting one CAC record and three CAC Championship marks.
