Please join the Marymount University Student Veterans of America for the Wounded Warrior Amputee vs. Washington Redskins Alumni Football Challenge.
This will be an historic flag football game between members of the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team and former Washington Redskins and other NFL alumni. Former Virginia Gov. George Allen, son of former NFL head coach George Allen, will coach the NFL alumni team.
This event is a fundraiser to benefit the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team, a Virginia based 501-c-3 non-profit (military support) organization. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and older; children under 12 are admitted free. The ticket price includes the opportunity to participate in a raffle:
Raffle Grand Prize: A trip for two to New York City on the weekend of Dec. 28-29 to see the Redskins take on the NY Giants; package includes transportation to New York City, hotel accommodations, dinner, Saturday night theater tickets, and two tickets to the football game on Sunday.
Other raffle prizes: Tickets to the Dec. 22 Cowboys vs. Redskins game at FedEx Field in Landover, MD; and signed footballs and jerseys from many Redskins greats.

Marymount’s Commuter Activities Board, the Honors Program, and the MU chapter of the Student Veterans of America are teaming up to collect toiletries, snacks, CDs and DVDs, and other gift items to pack into Christmas stockings and ship to our troops who are overseas.
Collection boxes are located in Caruthers Hall, The Lodge Lounge, Rowley Hall, and the Ballston Center.
Stockings will be stuffed on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 4 p.m., at the MU Commuter End-of-the-Year Party.
