Locations: Sacred Heart of Mary Chapel; Gerard Dining Hall
All Marymount students, faculty, and staff are invited to join in the celebration of Founders Day, which honors Marymount University’s founding order, the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM).
The celebration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a Mass in the Sacred Heart of Mary Chapel, followed by a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. in the Gerard Dining Hall. The luncheon keynote speaker will be Sr. Gabrielle Corbally, RSHM, who will discuss the history of the order. Sr. Gabrielle has served the RSHM community at the order’s motherhouse in France and is currently residing in New York.
Insights will also be shared about the chapel's new stained glass windows, which will depict the order's founders, Father Gailhac and Mother St. Jean, as well as the university's founders, Mother Gerard Phelan and Bishop Peter Ireton.
