Each year, Marymount University celebrates its commitment to service with Volunteer Service Day. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni can start the new academic year by sharing their time and talents at a variety of community organizations throughout northern Virginia. The work will include interior and exterior clean-up projects, spending time with senior citizens and adults with mental disabilities, packing food boxes, preparing school backpacks for children living in affordable housing, and more.
Volunteers should arrive at the Gerard Dining Hall at 9:00 a.m. to check in and pick up their Marymount Common Ground tee-shirts; please use the side entrance by the Gerard parking garage. Shuttle buses will take the volunteers to the service sites and return them to campus at the end of the event (2:30 p.m.).
All participants are cordially invited to enjoy a BBQ on campus at the end of this rewarding day.
to participate in Volunteer Service Day.
