Black Alumni Book Scholarship
The Marymount University Black Alumni Network established this scholarship to assist with the often overlooked expense of college textbooks. This scholarship is awarded to students who have at least a 2.8 GPA and have financial need. Support this scholarship.
Faculty and staff of Marymount University, recognizing the need for financial assistance, established this scholarship in 2003 for incoming freshmen who show academic promise at Marymount. The scholarships awarded each year are funded by gifts from faculty and staff members, and recipients are selected by a faculty/staff committee, based on academic merit and financial need. Genesis HealthCare Nurse Scholars Program
This annual $10,000 scholarship is provided through a gift from Genesis HealthCare (GHC). Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a senior nursing student earning a bachelor’s degree who demonstrates an interest in geriatric nursing. Following graduation, a two year employment commitment with GHC is required as part of the scholarship. Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarships
Awarded each year through a grant from the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation, these scholarships support Christian women seeking Nursing degrees. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Whitehead became one of the first women to serve on the board of directors of a major American corporation; she served as a director of The Coca-Cola Company for almost 20 years. Throughout her life, Mrs. Whitehead was involved in cultural and civic organizations. Support this scholarship.
The Lord & Taylor Fashion Program Scholarship
Lord & Taylor created this scholarship in conjunction with promotional efforts for Marymount University's annual fashion show and luncheon, Portfolio in Motion. This scholarship is awarded to a junior in the Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising program who maintains a 3.0 GPA and demonstrates financial need. Support this scholarship.
Mister Days Scholarship
In 2007, Bobby Lee, owner of Mister Days, an Arlington, Virginia restaurant, established the Mister Days Scholarship to benefit a Marymount undergraduate studnet from the Arlington area. Students must have attended an Arlington County high school or be an Arlington County resident, demonstrate financial need, work part-time, and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Support this scholarship.
Nova Medical and Urgent Care Center Scholarship
Created through the generosity of the Nova Medical and Urgent Care Center, Inc. and Dr. Grace Keenan, this scholarship is awarded annually to a student in the Marymount University School of Health Professions Nursing Program. The recipient is selected by the Dean of the School of Health Professions and awarded to a student who has exhibited a keen desire to enter the nursing profession, has strong academic credentials, demonstrates financial need, and is viewed favorably on by the faculty. Portfolio in Motion Scholarship
Created in 2008, the Portfolio in Motion Scholarship will benefit a Marymount student who exibits strong academic achievement, demonstates financial need, and has shown a commitment to the Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising program. Support this scholarship.
Virginia Morris Kincaid Scholarships
Provided through a grant from the Virginia Morris Kincaid Foundation, these scholarships are awarded to first-year, graduate students in Physical Therapy. They are selected via a competitive application process, and each scholar is expected to complete a publishable systematic review to meet the program research requirement and serve as a conduit of evidence-based practice to the community by making a formal presentation of research findings to the clinical community. NEW! The Virginia Student Scholarship
Marymount University has established The Virginia Student Scholarship which will be awarded to a resident of Virginia who attends the University. The scholarship will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate who demonstrates financial need, and maintains at least a 2.5 grade point average. Support this scholarship.
William C. Frogale Alumni Scholarship
A former Marymount trustee founded this scholarship to honor the tradition of a Marymount education. The scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate who is a graduate of a Marymount school or is the child of a graduate of a Marymount school or university. Support this scholarship.
