Jamie Reynolds is in her seventh season as the head coach of the Marymount University women’s lacrosse team following a year as an assistant in 2006.
A former standout with the Saints, Reynolds inherited a 3-14 team and transformed it to a .500 club just two years later with an 8-8 record. Marymount’s even record that year was the second-best in program history, following only the 12-7 campaign that Reynolds captained as a senior in 2003.
Nine Saints have earned All-Capital Athletic Conference honors under Reynolds, including a pair of first team accolades and 2012 CAC Rookie of the Year Megan McGuirk. Marymount had only produced two first team honorees the prior 10 seasons of competition combined. In addition, Reynolds was an assistant coach for the Saints in 2006 when SpringAnne Hatfield garnered CAC Rookie of the Year recognition.
Reynolds has also coached in a pair of international tournaments, at the Prague Cup in 2007 and London, England in 2008, with American International Sports Tours Select Teams.
Despite playing just three years with the Saints, Reynolds is sixth all-time in program history in goals (77), assists (36) and points (113). She was tabbed Second Team All-CAC as a senior in 2003 while captaining MU to its best record in program history and its first and only win in the CAC Tournament. Reynolds also played for the Marymount basketball team for one season.
Following graduation, Reynolds played on the club team at the University of Pittsburgh while working on her master’s degree. While at Pitt she also served as an assistant basketball coach for Carnegie Mellon University.
Reynolds is a 2003 graduate of Marymount with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and also has a Master’s of Public Health from Pitt. Away from the field, Reynolds is a certified personal trainer and avid runner, finishing five marathons. She is married to Jon Reynolds, Marymount's men's lacrosse head coach.
