Transfer Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements
All transfer applicants must have a cumulative college GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. High school GPA and SAT or ACT scores will only be considered for applicants with fewer than 30 credits.

Required Materials
Transfer applicants with 30 or more credits from an accredited college or university must submit the following to be considered for admission:

  • Completed transfer application (apply online or download PDF)
  • $40 nonrefundable application fee
  • Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended
  • One letter of recommendation from a professor, advisor, or employer (download PDF)
  • Additional materials are required for international students.

Transfer applicants with fewer than 30 credits should submit the following additional items:

  • Official high school transcript
  • Official SAT or ACT scores

All submitted documents become University property and may not be returned.

Nursing Applicants
In addition to the above requirements, transfer applicants to the Nursing program must take the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) nursing pre-admission exam. Students who either hold a current RN license or have received a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university with a GPA of 2.8 or higher may be exempted from this requirement. Find ATI-TEAS information and test dates here.
NOTE: Students pursuing an undergraduate or post-baccalaureate certificate or who just want to take a few classes at Marymount are subject to requirements for nondegree applicants.
