Congratulations to the Family Nurse Practitioner
Class of 2013!

Nurse Practitioner Career Day

Nurse Practitioner Career Day Held at Marymount

Marymount University’s Malek School of Health Professions recently hosted the inaugural Nurse Practitioner Career Day for graduating M.S.N.s in the Washington, DC-Metro region. Sponsored by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Career Day provided educational information that all new nurse practitioners need to know as they begin their practice.

Interested in becoming an advanced practice nurse (APN)? Marymount’s Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration can provide great career value, enhancing one’s knowledge and skill, while boosting earnings potential. The demand for advanced practice nurses is increasing as experienced nurses leave the profession and health care needs of an aging population escalate.

Program Goals

The program builds on the baccalaureate degree in Nursing and integrates three core content areas: a graduate nursing core, an advanced practice nursing core, and specialty nursing content.
