ABOUT MU's PROGRAM

What an exciting time to explore a career in nursing – jobs are waiting! Reports project a nursing shortage of 800,000 registered nurses by the year 2020. Marymount has a solid reputation for preparing knowledgeable, skilled, caring nurse professionals. Today’s nurses not only provide health care to people of all ages, but also educate patients and their families in preventive care.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) at Marymount
Marymount connects students with health care agencies and clinical sites throughout the Washington, DC, area, providing hands-on skills and preparing them immediately for the rigors and rewards of this growing profession.

Marymount offers three ways to secure a B.S.N.:
  • a traditional four-year B.S.N. program
  • an accelerated B.S.N. program available for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree in another field, ideal for adult career switchers
  • a hybrid online R.N.-to-B.S.N. program
Students in the traditional and accelerated second-degree B.S.N. programs take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), and Marymount is proud to report a 100% first-quarter pass rate by these students.
