English (Minor)

An English minor can enhance and complement study in a variety of areas, especially communications, history, political science, business, and psychology. However, students can choose to complete a minor in English regardless of their fields of study. In addition, students majoring in Liberal Studies can choose English as a concentration.

Students who minor in English and meet honors requirements are also eligible for membership in the international English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta.

Minor Requirements
  • EN 200 Elements of Literary Study
  • EN 290 Literary Theory and Practice
  • Six (6) credits from EN 201-204 World Literature
  • Nine (9) credits in additional English courses (excluding EN 101 and EN 102, but including 6 credits from EN courses numbered 321 or above)
