Honors Program

Marymount University’s Honors Program is designed to stimulate your intellectual curiosity, sharpen your research skills, and prepare you for success in graduate school or your chosen profession. It is open to those majoring in any discipline.

As a Marymount Honors student, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with accomplished and scholarly faculty in the classroom and through research activity. Marymount's Honors Program offers innovative seminar courses, some of which have included The Movie or the Book? Narrative Adaptation in Cinema, The World of J.R.R. Tolkien, and What is Death? Also, a select number of MU Honors students can travel to the University of Oxford for a summer study tour!

Honors students receive substantial scholarship support and enjoy small seminar-style classes and tutorials, unique research and social activities, and access to the rich resources of Washington, DC. Learn more about our program's distinctions.
