Each year, Marymount hosts a Student Research Conference to highlight undergraduate and graduate student research and creative activities.

With more than 130 students sharing their scholarly work, the conference was a testament to the Marymount community’s commitment to intellectual curiosity and academic excellence.

Preparing for the Conference
Presentations may be given in any of the following forms:
- Oral Presentations
Oral presentations will be 15 minutes in length with three additional minutes for questions for each presenter.
- Poster Presentations
Poster presentations are displays that must cover one side of a freestanding display board measuring 96 inches wide and 48 inches high. Presenters must be available to discuss their displays during their assigned session. Posters must be readable from at least three feet away. The presentation title must be least two inches high. Beneath the title, the name(s) of the student author(s) and faculty advisor must be at least one inch high.
Preparing a Poster
The DISCOVER Center will offer a workshop on preparing a poster.
An economical source for poster printing is phdposters.com, where a 72-inch (wide) x 42-inch (high) poster can be prepared, printed, and shipped for $75.
- Visual Arts Presentations
Visual arts presentations will consist of visual images displayed on freestanding boards or pedestals.
