Center for Teaching and Learning

The Center for Teaching and Learning provides a variety of programs for Marymount students and faculty that promote student success and support student learning. Learn more about the Center's mission.

Services for Students
  • Advising for students who are undeclared, enrolled in the University Studies program, have nondegree status, or are in transition between programs; the Center also offers walk-in course scheduling assistance for all students.
  • One-on-one tutoring and group study sessions led by trained graduate and undergraduate peer tutors for business, math, writing, and more. CTL also offers evening and weekend tutoring for students. Schedule a tutoring appointment through Starfish.

  • New student support: Resources and mentoring for first-year and new transfer students through DSC 101 First-Year Seminar and DSC 201 Transfer Student Experience.

  • Support for advancing education and scholarship: Workshops and coaching for students who need assistance to achieve greater success and for students preparing applications for graduate school, honors and awards, and distinguished scholarships.

  • Testing accommodations for students with disabilities, through Student Access Services.
Services for Faculty
  • The Center provides services and resources that nurture a community of teaching scholars, including instructional consultation, workshops, and programs.
