Rear Admiral Joan Hunter To Give the Malek School of Health Professions DVP Lecture

The Malek School of Health Professions welcomes Rear Admiral (RADM) Joan Hunter as its 2013 Distinguished Visiting Professor. The topic of RADM Hunter's talk will be the Wounded Warrior Project. Following the presentation, there will be a questions and answer session. A reception for all attendees will conclude the evening.

RADM Hunter is the Assistant Joint Surgeon, NGB, JSG, Psychological Health for the National Guard, a Joint program that supports the behavioral health needs of National Guard members and their families. In this capacity, she serves as principal staff and advisor to the Chief of the National Guard Bureau. RADM Hunter has been tasked to “build” the National Guard’s psychological health program; placing a Director of Psychological Health in every State, Wing and Territory; based on the DoD Mental Health Task Force Report recommendations.
