Service & Social Justice

“From everyone who has been given much, much will be required, and from the one who has been entrusted with much, even more will be asked.”
                                                                                               Luke 12:48

A strong spirit of service exists within the Marymount community. This commitment to helping others is a University hallmark and is a reflection of Marymount’s Catholic identity. Each year, MU students provide more than 16,000 hours of service in the local community and farther afield. From tutoring children, providing health-assessment services, conducting food drives, and cleaning up parks to building a chapel in the Dominican Republic or raising funds for a well in Sierra Leone – Marymount students actively seek out ways to make a difference.

MU students are also encouraged to examine current issues critically and become advocates for social justice and peace. They speak up and volunteer their time and talents on issues ranging from environmental stewardship and respect for life to hunger and homelessness.

The Marymount community’s commitment to service and social justice is evident in so many ways. Learn more about…
